La Ferme Noire (the black farm) grows pinot noir grapes and produces a wine in the Burgundian tradition, showcasing the delicate fruit aromas and flavors of the pinot noir grape. Our wine ages in neutral French oak barrels to gain complexity without overwhelming the approachable, compelling femininity that is reminiscent of the best of Burgundy. Our small vineyard is hand-crafted and managed in an organic style without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.  Our wines are unfined and unfiltered. Our wines are not for sale to the public.

Originally planted in the late 70’s, the gnarled vines on our vineyard yield luscious fruit.  The hard work done in the vineyard has its reward in the winery as we carefully hand-craft small lots to produce high quality estate wines  We look forward to sharing with you our love of the land and our passion for the grape.  Our tasting room sits high atop a ridge and commands lovely views.  Its quaint atmosphere makes it a picturesque and serene place in which to relax and enjoy a glass of your favorite wine.  Please plan to visit us soon!
